The authors are interested in reviewing any photographs or stereoviews by W.H. Illingworth, particularly those he took during the 1874 Black Hills Expedition. If you know of any such photographs or stereoviews, in private or public collections, we’d like to hear about it. Paul Horsted is assisting a Black Hills museum in completing a collection of Expedition photographs, and would be glad to discuss the possible purchase of images from private collections. We also continue to search, based on references in 1874 journals, for other photos that Illingworth may have taken in the Black Hills.
