Golden Valley Press has published a new full-color book on the 1874 Black Hills "Custer" Expedition. Exploring With Custer shows 47 photo "pairs" of the first photographs of the Black Hills with matching modern views taken at the same locations. Another main section of the book is a guide to following Custer's Trail through the Black Hills, with detailed maps and GPS coordinates that lead you to camp sites, photo sites, and other places visited by the members of the Expedition. Read the reports, journals and diaries of Custer and his men as you follow their trail, in the field or from your armchair!

Exploring With Custer is 300 pages in full color, including 120 maps and more than 160 photographs. The soft cover version is $34.95. The hard cover edition, signed by both authors, is $75.
